Paperless Recruitment, Onboarding & Employment Contracts
Assyst offers a paperless recruitment journey, from the initial application to interviews, offer letters and signed contracts. All documents are stored securely in the Staff Records Area with all ID and Proof of Right to Work documents, making HR management simpler and more organised. Any changes to staff hours or pay rates and conditions are flagged and Assyst automatically produces an new detailed contract to reflect the changes which once checked by HR can be issued for signing electronically.
Integrated Mobile Staff Application
The Staff App isn’t just used to sign in and out of each shift. Staff use it to view their payslip and P60s, Work Schedule & Timesheets, Report Absences, Employment Contracts, Workplace Documents, Request & Check holidays, receive all Company Communications and Complete regular or one-off tasks in the Task Management system.
You can communicate with your workforce using the communications tools sending bulletins or newsletters as well as staff surveys and more. Unique shift, based messaging allows managers to send messages to staff that “Pop Up” as soon as they sign in ensuring key messages reach staff at the right time.
Advanced Time & Attendance
There are lots of T & A apps but what makes Assyst advanced is it’s backed by an integrated payroll solution and uses accurate NFC tags rather than GPS which is extremely limited and has low level of accuracy. Each site or location has a programmed NFC tag (costing as little as £1 each) which can be programmed directly from the staff App by managers with designated permission. The tag allows you to determine a location and/or a function when scanning the tag. Managers gain immediate visibility via the app of who is currently on site and what work has been completed which improves accountability for internal and external teams for clients, as well as the health and safety benefits of our Roll-Call feature in the event of an emergency where staff can be immediately accounted for at the assembly point.
App Based Task Management
One of the key features of Assyst is our comprehensive Task Management System. Shift-specific tasks can be allocated to teams or individuals and signed off in the Mobile App, with notes and photos attached if needed, this has multi industry appeal where demonstrating work has been completed supports client invoicing and well as internal procedural compliance, helping you meet KPI's and SLA’s.
Payroll Calculation & Reconciliation
Assyst automates the entire payroll calculation process by collecting timesheet data, intelligently applying the correct rates through our unique system for each role and after checking budgets, this can be processed through to your payroll software ahead of import into Sage or whichever payroll software you use that supports API integration. For some clients who outsource their payroll this file will be imported and for internal payroll teams this will go direct. Either way, we configure an export file from payroll and this generates a detailed individual payslip in Assyst that clearly shows every shift worked for every day of the period. This will replace the current payslip and instantly is available on the app and is one of the reasons why, with Assyst, payroll queries are virtually a thing of the past. Sick Pay Management System (April 2026)
Many business do not have a management system that records sickness data, including the reasons or have any automation to notifying managers, adjust payroll records including reporting to HR. Mostly this is managed via spreadsheets, email and other manual processes, together with the calculation of SSP which requires a duplication of this information.
With SSP rules radically changing in 2026, this will require additional Sick Pay Management and Calculation under these new rules. Employees will no longer have to wait three days before qualifying for SSP and will be entitled from the first day of absence. The new rules remove the lower earning threshold meaning that everyone will be entitled to a minimum of 80% of their earning up to an anticipated rate of £24.65 per day (£123.25 per week).
Assyst looks after Sick Pay seamlessly, with staff having to report absence on the app for each day of absence to qualify for SSP during self certification and upload fit notes for longer absences. Assyst then intelligently uses this data and notifies managers, adjusts timesheet records, updating absence records including reasons and producing reports for both Payroll and HR without any manual processes and duplication needed.
In addition, Assyst qualifies eligibility, calculates how much is due and generates a payment of SSP in the payroll software. It then reports to HR any staff who do not meet acceptable thresholds of attendance based on your set criteria and automatically generates personalised correspondence for those who fail to meet the standards required. HR can review these letters prior to being issued ensuring there is a consistent approach. All correspondence is automatically filed on the staff record and the letter is sent via the communication tool on the app, so staff get notified and this stays on their app for future reference.

On-Demand Pay
This is an optional feature provided through our partnership with Level. It gives your staff the flexibility to access a portion of their earned wages before payday, directly through the Assyst platform. It’s a simple, secure, and responsible way to support financial wellbeing, helping employees manage unexpected expenses without relying on costly credit. This fits seamlessly into your existing payroll process without any burden on your payroll department. Bespoke Data-capture Functionality
Although Assyst is packed with standard features that on their own are very powerful and have multi industry appeal, we have focussed our platform on ensuring that if our clients need something specific then we can add this to the software for them exactly to their requirements. Example may be capturing data on frequency of service, quality auditing, Inspection, stock ordering or training sign offs and any data that you want to capture electronically.
The software is not rigid and your version is very much your own. We love to hear about new ideas and how we can solve problems of inefficiency or duplication. The routes of the software are in solving problems effectively and efficiently.
Fully Managed Installation & Set up
From our consultation Day right through to implementation we manage the entire process for you. We listen to what you need and understand your business first before we configure Assyt for you. Of course many aspects will be standard across the platform but Assyst is a permissions based platform which allows you to only give the access to information to those who need it. This is particularly important as Assyst database holds significant personal information about your staff which Payroll and HR need and use as well as more operational information that may be used in more day to day use.
